The Standard Club Wedding

We’re beyond impressed with this high-style, city-chic fête held at The Standard Club in Chicago. Every luxurious detail, from the crystal-embellished Jimmy Choo shoes to the white-and-gold table accents, is absolutely stunning. Jai Girard Photography did an amazing job capturing the lovely wedding party and glorious cityscapes. Not to mention The Standard Club, located in the heart of downtown Chicago, is an idyllic, historic venue with opulent, old accents and ultra-sophisticated modern twists. The simplicity of the green foliage and white decor for the ceremony have a decidedly “less is more” appeal. The all-white decor used for the reception adds to the overall contemporary, upscale feel of the event. We especially love how the clean-and-simple details don’t overpower the people or the wedding. City-bound brides-to-be may confidently take cues from this elegant affair.

From the bride:  Planning and preparing for our wedding was such a fun process. Chad and I were both very hands on. My mom also dominated the planning process and it is because of her our wedding day was so beyond perfect. Our vendors, including I Do Films and Jai Girard Photography, were a pleasure to work with and also added a fun element to the entire experience. Our objective in planning the wedding was to have an elegant, sophisticated and fun PARTY! We were beyond successful! Not only was the ceremony playful due to our music choices, but it was rare to see a guest seated at any given moment throughout the reception. The Larry King Orchestra rocked the party! My dress change later in the evening also contributed to setting a party energy. In the end, I wouldn’t change a thing. We had the best time at our own wedding and try to relive the memories as often as possible. I wish for every bride and groom to have as happy, carefree, fun and beyond perfect wedding as we had.
