Fashion Friday: Vera Wang Fall 2012 “Witchcraft” Bridal Collection
Vera, Vera, for the fall…not one white dress of them all? Vera Wang’s “Witchcraft” collection, which debuted at New York’s Bridal Fashion Week, has me spellbound. Inspired by women’s lingerie, not a single white or ivory dress was unveiled in her Fall 2012 Bridal Collection. Instead, the models strutted down the runway in dramatic black and nude dresses. Wang describes the new line as “light, airy, concoctions of froth…mysterious and sexy, frivolous and fun.”
Check out the enchanting fall collection below. The imaginative use of traditional fabrics (tulle, organza, satin, silk, deconstructed chiffon, and Chantilly lace) combined with non-traditional colors, will leave you mesmerized.

I LOVE these dresses, definitely wickedly captivating for me! Although the make-up on these models makes them look like zombies …
I really dig the black dress the asian model is wearing….their makeup does make them a bit zombie-ish, but I dig it.
Vera Wang indulges the mind to tasteful witchcraft if such a thing exists. The departure from white and everything white provokes breaking a barrier that’s meant to be broken. Asymmetrical contours can birth new trends while co-existing with traditional brides. As a two-way street contrast, a handful of the designs in the 2012 collection in browns would evoke chocolates and truffles, not witchcraft. As frothy as they may be, one comes away thinking they are open to interpretation.
I love the dresses. They really suit the nearly dead, corpse-like, malnurished models. I don’t know how they would look on living women though.
