Eaglewood Resort Wedding
Color us happy with this fabulous fall wedding, beautifully captured by Just Love Me Photography & Design. A bold color palette of tangerine, fuschia, purple, sunny gold and vibrant green worked brilliantly with the natural autumn backdrop. It’s a surprisingly chic alternative to more traditional, expected autumn palettes. We adore the playful photos of the bride and groom with the veil swept up in the wind. The bride looked stunning in her Paloma Blanca gown and sparkling Ivanka Trump shoes. From start to finish, this enchanting event captured this couple’s spirited personalities and style.
From the Bride: Our wedding day was inspired and designed around a beautiful, colorful, fall-inspired bouquet that I found. The bouquet was similar to the ones that my bridesmaids carried. My husband, Matt, and I, both wanted our day to really reflect us—our outgoing personalities, our amazing friends and family, and the beautiful fall colors outside (our favorite time of the year). Another inspiration (maybe it’s my marketing background) was that I wanted to “brand” our wedding from the Save the Dates all the way through the gift bags in all of our guest’s hotel rooms. “Eat. Drink. & Be Married” was our theme and Just Invite Me helped to thread this along with a logo our of names she created for us throughout the entire event.
The ceremony was especially important to us – we wanted it to be about us and bringing together our family and friends. We decided against any flowers in the church and just wanted the entire room to glow with candle light. We had a slideshow playing with pictures of us from the time we met until the time we walked down the aisle to keep our guest entertained until the action started. We also had the luxury to choose every song that was played by an AMAZING 5 piece band from the church and lead by the most brilliant music director, Michael. We just told him what we were thinking about and he found all the musicians and chose what instruments they would be playing. The bridal party and Matt walked out to “Marry Me” by Train and when it was my turn to come down the aisle with my dad, our ushers closed the blinds on some windows in the sanctuary, the music changed to Cannon in D and the door opened. I wore a Paloma Blanca dress from Veiled in Elegance and my mom’s cathedral length veil. Instead of having a formal reader get up in front of everyone – we chose 2 of our aunts on each side and our moms to stand where they were sitting and say one verse of Corinthians 13 4-7 – this was all happening while we had one of our favorite country songs playing lighting in the background, Would You Go with Me by Josh Turner. Matt and I wrote our own vows which was very important to Matt, and I’m sure glad we did because it really felt like our wedding ceremony and it was amazing to see the similarities in what we wrote to each other. We ended the ceremony with a kiss and the band started playing “We Go Together” from Grease. We danced our way down the aisle hand and hand and followed that by a champagne toast with our family and bridal party.
I was extremely lucky to have some of the fabulous ladies (Cari, Gina, and Soyna) from my salon Xentrik Beauty Lounge follow me to the reception where they put my hair into a low messy bun complete with a custom made hairpin (from Veiled in Elegance) and touched up my makeup. Now we were ready for the party!
Just Invite Me went above and beyond with all of our “extras” for the reception. From the colorful pop-art inspired sign in the lobby directing our guests to the party, to the “Moses Martini Bar” signs, to the In Leui of card tents on each table (we donated money to charity instead of favors) – it brought the entire event together. Just Invite Me helped me “brand” our wedding which was very important to me. Elizabeth Wray and her staff did an absolutely amazing job and brining my vision to life with the floral arrangements. She created a big, whimsical tree on our escort table to give our guests a “sneak peek” at what they were going to see inside the ballroom. We chose to do 3 different table arrangements with square and circle tables all bringing together the colors for the day and the outside fall colors inside. Complete with twigs, lanterns, and reusing my bridesmaids (and my) bouquets – it was breathtaking.
Like I mentioned, we really wanted to make this wedding ours so we added a few more fun details. Our first dance was Keith Urban, Making Memories of Us with 45 seconds of Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO intertwined in there (thanks to Spinnin’ Discs!!), a Photo Booth from Shutterbooth (and Just Invite Me was able to “brand” and design the bottom label on each photo-strip), and our DJ got all 270 guests on the dance floors for a surprise “Martini” parade with cocktails served in mini martini glasses while Shots by LMFAO played. This was a huge hit.
Best of all, the dance floor was packed all night long and everyone had an amazing time – including us of, course. We really were able to enjoy and take in every moment of our day because we ended up hiring a day-of coordinator, Sarah Davis, from Elizabeth Wray Design. I didn’t have to worry about a thing because I knew that Sarah and her team were taking care of it and she would come get us whenever we needed to be somewhere.
