Old world charm meets contemporary flair with this romantic fête at the historic Armour House. Situated on the beautiful Lake Forest Academy campus, The Armour House features the grandeur of the Great Hall and a meticulously manicured landscape, making it a luxurious and ideal wedding venue. Photographer Andre LaCour used the setting to its best advantage. The bride and groom, who are passionate about antiques and history, looked right at home in these captivating photos.

From the Bride: It was truly an intimate affair with vintage flair. We only planned on 100 guests attending and we knew each and everyone personally! The venue has one wedding at a time and our guests were wowed by the grounds at The Armour House. It was built between 1904 – 1908. Built to last like hopefully our marriage will. Both Adrian and I love antiqueing, old furniture and history. It was the perfect venue to gather our closest family and friends.

We did our first look before the ceremony. I think it really helped calm our nerves and let us enjoy the rest of the evening since we had more time with family and friends.

One of my favorite parts of my wedding was just to be able to look down the aisle knowing that I was going to marry my best friend and partner in crime. The morning was very stressful for me with an unruly bridesmaid and I knew once I laid eyes on him everything would be ok. He keeps me calm and focused on what’s important in life!

Be U Brides and Mount Prospect Flowers were great and timely in responses. They both exceeded my expectations when it came down to the final product.
