When planning a beach wedding in Chicago, you should begin your venue search with the 63rd Street Beach House. The Mediterranean Revival bathing pavilion was completed in 1919 on Jackson Park’s lakefront. In 1933–34, Chicago’s second world fair was housed at Promontory Point. We can see why! Just steps from Lake Michigan, the site offers stunning historic architecture and a picturesque view of our famed skyline. For the girl who has always dreamed of her “princess wedding,” the castle-like feel of Promontory Point will fulfill all her dreams. While there are no white sandy beaches, the picturesque setting on the lake will still offer a nautical touch.

These spots are open to the public, so be aware that you may have some onlookers. Also be sure to check out Chicago Park District’s special events page for more information.

When you’ve selected your gown, be sure to find your ideal beach footwear with FlipOut Sandals. Flipout Sandals brings you the comfort of a flip-flop with the dazzle of bling at a super affordable price. The design was the brainchild of Cheryl Hammersmith-Stewart and Tracey Hunter, owners of an acclaimed advertising agency. The two thought of the idea while on a photo shoot in the Caribbean, dealing with the dilemma of models, heels, and sand. They thought, why not create a sandal that can go with a multitude of outfits and fit EVERY occasion? Check out the sandals that have everyone talking. The stylish foot find has been featured on the pages of Brides, Inside Weddings, and as a morning discussion among the lovely ladies of the Today show. The best part is, the sandals will live on after your wedding.
