As John Keats wrote, “The poetry of the earth is never dead.” After seeing the exquisite photos from this enchanting outdoor wedding, captured by the talented 1326 Studios, we’re convinced this idyllic setting would inspire numerous poems. This charming couple elected to have an intimate celebration with their closest family and friends set set in the simple serenity of 1025 acres of forest, fields and streams. DIY elements, such as the invites and wrapped flower vases, had a decidedly rustic appeal that worked harmoniously with the venue. We also love the playful color palette of blush pink, robin’s egg blue, ivory and brown.

Located at the Cincinnati Nature Center’s Rowe Woods in Milford, Ohio, Krippendorf Lodge provides the perfect backdrop for your upcoming wedding event. Built around 1899, the lodge features several adjoining rooms, a covered wrap-around porch and a stone terrace. If you’re looking for a nature-inspired venue in Chicago, consider the Chicago Botanic Gardens, Morton Arboretum or Garfield Park Conservatory.

From the Bride: We loved how intimate and relaxed our wedding was. We only had 75 guests, so we were able to talk to everyone. The location and size were pretty unique. Most of our friends were married indoors and had over 100 guests. We also had a lot of friends help us out. Almost every vendor was a friend or was referred by a friend. It helped make the wedding day feel extra special.

Almost all of our vendors were amazing to work with. Our caterer who also managed the lodge was great. She was always quick to respond to emails whenever we had a question. Our photographer was wonderful. He did a great job of making us feel comfortable infront of the camera for more formal photos and we didn’t even notice he was there during more important time, like the ceremony and reception.

Just a side note. The link for our cake is not correct. The cake was made by a friends aunt who works out of her house in Dayton, OH.
