We invite you to pore over all of the chic details from this divine Wit Hotel fête, captured by the talented Artisan Events. The bride’s passion for modern art and sophistication, along with the groom’s Belgian nationality, inspired many of the dècor selections and accents. The lovely invitation, designed by Be U Brides, is currently featured in the June issue of CS Brides. Also noteworthy was the bride’s stunning custom-made “Juliet Cap” veil, which was a popular style in the early 20th century and purchased via Etsy. A green and champagne color scheme lent a decidedly upscale organic feel to the special day.

If you’re seeking a stylish, ultra-modern reception site and luxurious accomodations in the heart of downtown Chicago, consider The Wit Hotel. Their elegant ballrooms accomodate up to 300 guests, showcasing a total of 7,000 square feet of functional space.

From the Bride: Our wedding was not only beautiful and unique, but it was fun! Our guests truly had a great time at our wedding – whether at the cocktail hour with the great view from the 27th floor of the Wit hotel, or while dancing in the gorgeous, dimly lit ballroom. In all of our pictures, you can really tell people enjoyed themselves at our wedding.

It was very important to me to have a cohesive wedding motif that was representative of our backgrounds and our relationship, without being overkill or kitschy. Kevin is from Belgium, the birthplace of the Art Nouveau movement of the early 20th century, which was inspired by the blending of nature and man. I, on the other hand, am a native Chicagoan with a love of sophistication and modern art. After some thought, we decided that our motto for the wedding would be “Modern Art Nouveau” in order to reflect Kevin’s nationality, but still keeping our wedding young, fun, unique, and personal. With this theme in mind and an overall goal for our guests to just have fun at our wedding, we kept many details under wraps until the big day. The day of the wedding was exactly how I had envisioned it.

I would recommend working with all of my vendors, but in particular, Be U Brides who captured our “Modern Art Nouveau” motif in our invitations suite, Richard Remiard Event Design for coming up with spectacular flowers, and Artisan Events for capturing every single little detail of the day.
