…Comes Marriage! Needless to say, we are utterly smitten with this couple’s preppy chic “backyard” affair, captured by the talented Jeremy + Kristin Weddings. Hosted at the Mabery Gelvin Botanical Gardens, this relaxed outdoor celebration was a perfect blend of Gatsby-inspired vintage and darling DIY details. The bride looked enchanting in her lacy sheath gown. The couple capitalized on the beautiful garden setting with seed packet invites, freshly-picked flowers and fresh fruit pies. The result was magical.
For your own perfect backyard soiree, we’ve selected a few of our favorite vendors {listed below}. And don’t stress about the DIY details. For inspiration, be sure to peruse A Perfect Event’s latest eMagazine, The Wedding Lookbook.

From the Photographer: Andrew and Kelsie met in college and loved planning their backyard vintage wedding. Their wedding was a DIY wedding. The bride’s mom helped make the floral arrangements and cake. She had a ton of DIY projects at the reception. This DIY wedding had an approximate budget of $7,000. The bride wore her grandmother’s necklace which her grandmother placed on her before the ceremony. The bride also had a twin brother who was a part of my bridal party. He was given the official title of “bridestwin”. It was a lovely day full of family and laughter.
