Stunning Winter Wedding

With the holiday season almost upon us, it’s the perfect time to share this dreamy December wedding that took place at an exclusive Club in Chicago. After seeing this fanciful fête, we’re convinced that it is the most wonderful time of the year! We adore the Old Hollywood glamour sprinkled in with the warm and inviting holiday dècor. The bride looked stunning in her Angelina gown, Jimmy Choo peep toes and vintage Weiss jewelry. Esther at Scarlet Petal truly outdid herself with the breathtaking bouquets and centerpieces. And we must not forget the amazing DIY touches, like the pretty place card table and Garrett Popcorn Shop’s buffet. Winter Chicago brides-to-be may confidently take cues from this first class event planned by the über talented Lynn H. Mack at Beauty Expectations, Inc.

From the Bride: The entire wedding was planned in less than six months. For the flowers, I wanted something soft and romantic, mostly white with a touch of pink and some feathers to bring the theme together. The brains behind it all was Tony K. Wright, who put my words into beautiful flowers and stayed within the budget. Our wedding color theme was grey, pale pink and antique silver with a few feathers for an Old Hollywood glam look. For the place card table, the vases were from Hobby Lobby, the branches were from my parents’ backyard and sprayed with antique silver paint. I found the ornaments at an antique store before the wedding and they inspired the old/antique theme for me. I knew I wanted to use them in some way. For the popcorn bar, I bought the glass jars at Home Goods, had my calligrapher write out the names and the ribbon was from Hobby Lobby. I put the ribbon through the labels and wrapped them around the glass vases. Beauty Expectations put it all together and the popcorn was from Garretts.
