Spring 2013 is officially in full bloom for the bridal market! Bridal designers introduced their spring collections at New York’s bridal week and I must say the dresses were a breath of fresh air. Here are a few trends that will surely cause some spring wedding fever.
Brilliant Colors
Bridal designers are making a splash with their creative and artistic use of colors. Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, and Romona Keveza all made dramatic statements with palettes of red, causing red dresses to be one of the hottest trends this season. Not ready to go that bold? No worries. The spring collections are bursting with brilliant blues, blushing pinks, and vibrant florals.

Cowl Necklines
Inspired by the bridesmaid dress worn by Pippa Middleton at the Royal Wedding, several designers including Badgley Mischka and Carolina Herrera are incorporating cowl necklines into their collections. It’s an elegant alternative to a strapless or halter dress and perfect for a spring or summer wedding. Sexy and feminine!

It’s becoming more and more popular for brides to wear one wedding dress to the ceremony and another to the reception. But in all seriousness, unless you are Kim Kardashian, who can really afford to buy more than one wedding dress? Ideal for the budget-conscious bride, convertible dresses give you the option to create two different looks with one. Walk down the aisle in sophistication and then detach the skirt for a little liberation!
